The Case of the Mausoleum Break-In
Thursday, October 20th from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Tamara Gates, a talented historian, has done extensive research on the break-in of the Phelps Mausoleum in 1883, and the many court cases that followed. Late night intrigue included strange noises from the mausoleum, reluctant deputies hiding behind shrubs, barking dogs, a stalwart cemetery sexton, a doctor, and a lawyer. Reputations, and so much more, were at stake. The case is worthy of a true crime novel, complete with Sherriff Sherlock!
Admission is $15 for the public and $10 for members. Admission includes 2 drinks, snacks, and the presentation. Choice of wine or beer provided by the Water Street Brewing Co. Parking is available by the Ballroom entrance.
