Classical Voice Recital with Tenor Tony Villecco and Pianist John Isenberg

Join Tony and John on Sunday evening November 5th at 7:00 PM for a Classical Voice Recital. Songs by Bellini, Handel, Donaudy, Mozart, Britten, Debussy, and Faure.

Tenor Tony Villecco

Tony made his professional debut as a boy soprano singing the lead in Menotti’s AMAHL AND
THE NIGHT VISITORS with Tri-Cities Opera. A versatile performer, He has performed recitals
for SUNY Broome, Tiahwaga Arts Council, Christ Church in Binghamton and the Venetian Arts
Society of Fort Lauderdale. Oratorio solo work has been performed with the (former) Syracuse
Symphony, Binghamton University, SUNY Broome and he has performed the tenor solos in
Handel’s MESSIAH twice with American Composer Dan Locklair. Theatre and Musical
Theatre has seen him perform with Binghamton University, EPAC, SRO Productions, Tiahwaga
Playhouse, Cider Mill Playhouse, Southern Tier Actors Read (STAR) and PRESENTING ARTS.
Tony was featured with pianist John Isenberg on WSKG TV’s EXPRESSIONS program where
he performed an all-Baroque Program. In Manhattan, he has performed jazz vocals at both
DON’T TELL MAMA and Greenwich Village’s historic cabaret club, ROSE’S TURN. Most
recently he has presented his fourth Broadway benefit concert for Cider Mill this past November
and he will reprise this performance in September with Tiahwaga Playhouse. Also, a writer, he
has authored two books on silent film and is finishing his third which is a compilation of
interviews with former famous opera singers. He received his BA in Creative Writing in 1998
from Binghamton University where he was a student of acclaimed American poetess, Ruth
Stone. In his spare time, he does film extra work and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild
(SAG) He also serves as a vocal adjudicator for the New York State Schools Music Association (NYSSMA).
