On Monday, December 10, at 12 p.m. noon, The Fair Winds Woodwind Quintet will perform at the Phelps Mansion Museum at 191 Court Street in Binghamton.
The Fair Winds Woodwind Quintet is a group of local musicians who enjoy performing together. They have a huge repertoire of light classical, holiday, sacred, opera, and dance music.
Nina Stutzman plays flute, Kathy Karlsen plays oboe, Joanne Peters plays clarinet, Patti O’Connell plays horn and Martha Weber plays bassoon. The group is very flexible. Nina can play piccolo, Kathy can play English horn and Patti can also play flute for extra colors.
The Fair Winds also have a wealth of duet, trio and quartet music if a smaller group is needed.
The women perform at Southern Tier Music Teachers Association and Harmony Club functions, cocktail parties, luncheons, nursing homes, weddings, and the Oakdale Mall at holiday time.
