November Chamber Concert

Anna Maimine was born in Moscow, Russia, where she started studying piano at age 4 with Natalya Dolenko at the Gnessin School for Children. At age 12, Anna came to Rochester, NY where she continued her studies at the Eastman School with Gary Fisher, Alla Kuznetsov, Natalya Antonova, Nelita True and Douglas Humpherys.
Anna graduated from the Eastman Community Music School with an Honors Diploma in Piano and a Certificate of Merit. During those years she was the first prize winner of the SUNY-Geneseo Young Artist Competition and Junior All-Star MTA Piano Competition. Most recently Anna has garnered prizes at the Moulin d’Ande Annual Concerto Competition in France, the Annual 1000 Island’s International Young Artist Competition, the Frinna Awerbuch International Piano Competition, the Empire State Piano Competition, and performed Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto as the winner of the Eastman Concerto Competition. She was also a National Finalist of the MTNA Young Artist Competition.

Anna has performed at multiple venues throughout New York state including Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall. Her performance engagements included the inaugural concert for Classical Pianists of the Future series at the Tri-Cities Opera House, as well as performances in the Second Sunday Series at the Phelps Mansion in Binghamton, Music for a Summer’s Eve Series at Hobart & William Smith College, and Music at the Kilmer Mansion Series, also in Binghamton. An active chamber musician, Anna premiered an award-winning chamber music composition through the Rochester Chamber Music Society, performed as part of the inaugural Keuka Lake Music Festival, and premiered a program of commissioned works by living composers entitled “The Queens Speak” with soprano Emily Mills in New York City and at the Rochester Fringe Festival. Anna maintains an active concert schedule and performs regularly with various instrumentalists from the Greater Rochester and Buffalo areas. Anna holds all of her degrees from the Eastman School of Music having completed her Doctorate under the tutelage of Professor Douglas Humpherys. She maintains a private studio in Rochester, NY.

Anna Maimine received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the Eastman School of Music where she studied with Natalya Antonova, Nelita True, and Douglas Humpherys. Ms. Maimine garnered prizes at many competitions including the Eastman Concerto Competition, Moulin d’Ande Concerto Competition in France, 1000 Island’s International Young Artist Competition, Frinna Awerbuch International Piano Competition, and Empire State Piano Competition. She holds all professional degrees from the Eastman School where she completed her Doctorate under the tutelage of Professor Douglas Humpherys. Ms. Maimine maintains a private studio in Rochester, NY.
