Southern Tier Actors Read Presents ‘Mastergate’

Southern Tier Actors Read, S.T.A.R., presents a staged reading of ‘Mastergate’, a comic satire on Congressional hearings, written by Larry Gelbard who created M*A*S*H*. The play is about  by a committee to investigate a possible cover-up of the C.I.A. using a movie company to launder money to buy arms for another country.  What does the President know and when did he know it?

Director Judy McMahon says “The play is a 90 minute play on words that highlights the absurdities of a political situation.” Actors involved are Bill Gorman, Claus Evans,Tom Sbarra, Suzanne Brigham, John Montgomery, Jerry Schmidt, Barbara Vartanian, Carolyn Christi-Boyden, John Montgomery, Tony Villeco, Bob Weslar and Mitch Tiffany.
