A Monday Program “History of the Monday Afternoon Club at The Phelps”
On Monday, April 10th, Barbara Hickling, past President and member of the Phelps Mansion Museum, twenty year history teacher, and author of “A Brief History of the Monday Afternoon Club and Phelps Mansion” (1890-1990), will tell the story of a group of women who started a “serious club.” This club developed an active organization which was an important asset in the cultural well being of Binghamton and Broome County.
Lunch starts at 12 p.m., and the program starts at 1 p.m. at the Phelps Mansion Museum on 191 Court Street in Binghamton. Admission is $20 for the program and lunch. The program alone is $5. There will be coffee, tea, and cookies at the end of the program.
