On Monday, October 8 at 1 p.m., Judy McMahon and Heidi Weeks of Southern Tier Actors Read (STAR) will present two staged readings at the Phelps Mansion Museum on 191 Court St. Binghamton, NY.
Weeks will perform Dorothy Parker’s The Telephone in which a woman desperately waits for a phone call from her boyfriend. Through her desperation, she bargains with God for her boyfriend’s call. As the protagonist’s desperation increases, we start to learn more about her character. McMahon’s reading is a comedy about a telephone call.
Catered lunch and STAR’s program is $20, and starts at 12 p.m. noon. To attend the program only, admission is $5 and starts at 1 p.m. Reservations are necessary, and can be made by either purchasing a ticket below, or by calling the museum at 607-722-4873 by Friday, October 5 at 4 p.m.
