Any requests for rentals needs to be made at least two weeks in advance. Given the need to accommodate the museum’s programming schedule, we request you provide an alternative date for your event if possible.

No events can take place inside the mansion at this time. They are currently limited to the ballroom only.

Capacity: 120 people

Children 16 and under require adult supervision while in the mansion and ballroom.

Photography Sessions

The historic Phelps Mansion Museum offers a beautiful and unique backdrop for photography. Guests are welcome to schedule photography sessions inside the mansion for portraits, engagement photos, family photos, and other personal photography.

Due to the historic nature of the building and limited capacity, photography sessions must be scheduled in advance, and space is limited to 30 people in the museum at one time. We ask that groups be respectful of other museum guests during their time here. 

Admission for photography is $8 per person, and all proceeds directly support the continued preservation and operation of the museum.

Any request for private photoshoots will be charged a rate of $150 for 1.5 hours. (This fee applies for requests outside of the museums regular hours.)

Commercial Videography (filming)
Commercial videography is a contracted service between a videographer and an advertising agency or corporate client. This also constitutes a commercial use of the property, which requires a certificate of insurance. Commercial videography follows rental procedures and is processed differently.

• Approved commercial videography requests at the Phelps Mansion Museum will only grant access to public areas of the museum. 
• Payment for formal and commercial videography will be determined based on date, duration, location and staff involvement. At the time of shoot approval, a call will be set up to collect payment. Rates will vary based on amount of time, location and additional needs for the shoot.
• All commercial videography requests must be submitted at least two (2) weeks in advance of the requested shoot date and must include the signed contract and certificate of insurance. A museum staff member will then be in touch to arrange payment and timing.
